btwn has a legacy of control and automation. The Aker BP project- Performinator & OCC (Onshore Collaboration Centre), is one of the most ambitious automation development projects within Norwegian oil and gas. The project set out to provide autonomous drilling operations in offshore drilling. It is an end-to-end solution with communication from operational planning, through drilling control and downhole sensors. The design is based on open source, and communicates with several third party applications and digital models.
